For Children

Nathan is available to organise various classes for 4-6 year old children. These are generally afternoon sessions lasting an hour, where we harvest herbs, chop them up and make medicines (e.g. balms) that the children can take home with them. These are put on by arrangement – I need a group of 6 children, with 2-3 supervising adults. The classes generally cost around £6/session/child.

Examples of a series of 3 workshops (about 1 hour each):

  • First week: Harvest marigolds, marigold stories, prepare the flowers for drying
  • Second week: Infuse the marigolds in oil, grind up the petals to make pigment
  • Third week: Press the oil, and make into marigold balm – all the children have a pot of healing balm to take away with them
