Intuition

I believe that intuition is a skill that can be developed though:

- Experience (or ‘reality’ checking)

- Self-awareness (particularly emotional awareness)

When I facilitate groups geared towards developing intuition, we presume as a starting point that every insight is only ever about you personally. To put this in another way, the first aspect of intuition to recognise that it is intrinsically tied up with your own projections onto the pecieved external world. By taking this approach, intuitive insights can lead us deeper into ourselves, improving our understanding of ourselves. The more we have done this inner work, the greater the clarity we get in our intuition, and the wider the range of insights it can encompass. As we move through our own healing, our ability to help others move through theirs is increased.

Our intuitive insights will prove flawed if we try to extrapolate meaning too soon. Our experience and intuition regarding a plant is ours only, yet within it is the reality of that plant. With practice and mindfulness we can start to discern the plant from our own reflection.
